let me paint you the full picture of who sophia fang is.
I’m a startup marketer by trade, a creative dabbler by nature, and a social impact creator by purpose—all towards my personal mission to build vibrancy in my community.
With a passion for empowering local entrepreneurs, makers, and creators, I’m an MBA candidate at Stanford Graduate School of Business as a ROMBA Fellow, a Commissioner on the Seattle Arts Commission, and a Venture For America alumni fellow. Previously, I was the Head of Marketing at Honeycomb Credit, where I built marketing from pre-revenue to $1M ARR and drove $12M+ in local investments to small businesses across the country.
I also find joy in beautifying public spaces in my Seattle hometown and the Rust Belt. As an artist, I have always wondered what it means to exist—in relationship to the self, to others, and to the spaces and communities that we claim and claim us. My murals combine whimsy and community joy to celebrate small businesses, immigrant placemaking, and food diasporas. You can buy my postcards at love, Pittsburgh, Heinz History Center Museum Shop, or my online shop!
I graduated in 2018 from Pomona College, where I double majored in Economics & Digital Media Studies. At Pomona, I was a founding member & Director of Marketing of Health Bridges, a nonprofit assisting immigrant patients with hospital language translations.
Fun fact: I used to be #tumblrfamous! In high school, I founded a high fashion blog with 50,000+ followers.
